Introduction
In relation to the provision of courses and SQA/Signature assessments COMMTACS learning & development will be responsible for:
- The management of the SVQ and Signature programme including all registration, entries and results procedures as required by Scottish Qualifications Authority and Signature
- Ensuring staff and candidates induction to the S/NVQ and Signature programme as required
- Liasing with external agencies such as the Scottish Qualifications Authority, Signature, Local Enterprise Companies and any other associated professional bodies
- Ensuring that staff involved in the programme have complete understanding of their roles and of the requirement of the Scottish Qualifications Authority and/or Signature
- Ensuring that Internal Verification System is regularly reviewed and discussed at meetings for the purpose
- Ensuring that all staff involved in the programme are following the procedures laid down to ensure continuity in all aspect of the programme
- Ensuring that all staff involved in the programme understand the role of the External Quality Assurer and that staff are notified of an External Quality Assurer visit so as to make available all relevant materials for the visit
- Organising timely meetings to discuss feedback with staff following an External Quality Assurer visit
- Updating all Scottish Qualifications Authority and Signature information as and when required. This will include any candidates induction packs, staff information on quality procedures, any procedural amendments by the Scottish Qualifications Authority and Signature
COMMTACS learning & development, as the primary point of contact, will have full responsibility for the completion and submission of all Scottish Qualifications Authority and Signature entry forms. All internal records or copies of data sent to the Scottish Qualifications Authority and Signature, will be filed in a secure filing cabinet within the centre
